A New School Year Begins!

2011 BCC Camp

This school year is off to a good start and so is the Bel Canto Choir. On Sept. 10th approximately 40 students and along with parents from the FHS Vocal Music Boosters spent the day at BCC Camp. This years camp was started out at the Franklin High School fun and games to help everyone become a little more familiar with each other.

Hungry Hungry Hippos

Then these talented teens broke off into smaller groups to practice or create Tee Shirts or wash a few cars at our car wash in front of the school. We then had a pot luck lunch with hot dogs and all kinds of other good food before some more practice singing as a group! These kids then got their themed scripts together and got ready to performs skits base on popular board game such as Chess, Clue, and Hungry Hungry Hippos just to name a few! This really showed how truely talented all these students are

Backyard fun!

Once the skits we done many of the choir member started out on a 2 mile walk through the neighborhoods of south Livonia to one of the parent’s homes where there were more games, fun and food as well as a bonding time around a camp fire.

There is something very special about this years choir group. They really seem to have the desire to be a great choir and do whatever it takes to deliver the music they way that it should. With passion!

Concert Attire Reminder

GIRLS: Find your dress, or skirt and top.

Launder and dry on delicate cycle.

Check for working zippers, etc. Missing black bows….

Shoes: Flat, Black, Closed Toed

Knee – high natural stockings

Invest in a slip – no shorts or pants under your skirt or dress

Wear a white or black tank top under your dress/top.

Especially important to wear a white tank under your new white tops.

GUYS: Find your TUX PARTS

Every part has your name or initials on it.

Wash those white tux shirts (SHOUT or Spray and Wash – those gross brown yellow stains into snowy whiteness!)

Black socks, and black dress shoes. NO SNEAKERS!

Everyone – Pull your hair back! No piercing jewelry!

Dresses, Skirts and Tux pants need to be HEMMED.

Tuxes need to be PRESSED.
